Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing software.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.
  • Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshooting manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet quality standards and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
  • Evaluate, specify, and procure manufacturing equipment and tools; maintain calibration of existing equipment.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation including process flows and work instructions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

Manufacturing Engineer

Role Summary/Purpose

The ManufacturingEngineerwill beresponsible for developing, improving, and implementing manufacturingprocesses toincrease efficiency,reducewaste,and ensure the highestqualitystandardsare met. This rolerequiresa hands-on approach toproblem-solvinganda deepunderstanding of manufacturing techniques, tools,and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development:Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Production Support:Provide day-to-day support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Quality Assurance:Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Cost Reduction:Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or performance.
  • Equipment Management:Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.
  • Documentation:Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and production reports.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
  • Health& Safety:Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in metal forming / fabrication
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant manufacturing software.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt).
  • Experience in Metal Forming, Assembly, Coating, Welding & Machining.
  • Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
