Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Bradford, NY to optimize production processes and drive efficiency and cost effectiveness while maintaining high quality. You will lead process development, lean initiatives, and daily production support while collaborating with design, quality, and supply chain teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience with metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure product quality and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, process flows, and reports.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations.

Manufacturing Engineer - Bradford, NY

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Industry: Manufacturing

Compensation: 80,000-120,000 DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hour work week

This Manufacturing Engineer will be focused on making the manufacturing process run more efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining high product quality.

Responsibilities

• Process Development: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Production Support: Provide day-to-day support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Cost Reduction: Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or performance.
• Equipment Management: Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and production reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
• Health & Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
• Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes, increasing production efficiency, and resolving production-related issues.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design programs.
• Ability to work in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with production personnel and supporting manufacturing equipment and processes.
