Productive Resources is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our customer's facility in Arthur, IL. You will take components from concept to production, develop and improve processes, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality and performance targets.

Responsibilities include designing tooling, leading projects, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with operations, quality, and maintenance to reduce defects and improve throughput.

Qualifications

  • Perform root cause analysis on quality and production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize ERP (NetSuite) to log production and track rejects.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership to meet goals.
  • Provide feedback to management and drive projects into production.

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Arthur, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Manufacturing Engineer who is responsible for taking components and assemblies from concept to production, developing and improving manufacturing processes and tooling, and driving continuous improvement to ensure Stone Creek Products consistently delivers high-quality manufactured stone products that meet customer expectations and internal standards. This position partners with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership to reduce defects and improve manufacturing performance.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties
  • Continued development of all manufacturing processes.
  • Design and launch of components and assemblies from concept through production.
  • Recognition of how manufacturing engineering relates to all aspects of the business (quality, operations, product development, etc.).
  • Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Design and specify tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve quality, throughput, and repeatability.
  • Lead and assist in engineering projects as assigned.
  • Fabricate items and tooling to aid in production and provide drawings for customer and in-house projects.
  • Perform root cause analysis on quality and production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize ERP system (NetSuite) to log production, track rejects, etc.
  • Collaborate with the team to set and meet quality and production goals.
  • Utilize training and experience to help move actionable projects into the production phase:
    • Can include speaking to product design.
  • Requires close coordination with the director of product development.
  • Evaluate the goal of delivering quality products in a timely fashion against actual performance metrics.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the management team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing.
  • Ability to think outside the box in the development new processes and ways to gain efficiency.
  • Ability to see the big picture, aid in designing systems and executing production.
