Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a manufacturing engineer to develop and execute complex automotive manufacturing processes, including automation, equipment integration, and installation within a centralized engineering facility and an assembly plant. You will manage resources to achieve flawless execution with high independence and judgment.

Qualified candidates bring a mechanical engineering background, 5 years in manufacturing/engineering, and 2 years in automotive launches or fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5 years manufacturing/engineering experience.
• 2 years launch experience in automotive industry or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge in automation cells.
• Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment; Global Launch Process and Vehicle Development Process.
• Automotive industry familiarity.
• Installation standards and Controls & Automation standards.

Responsibilities

Develop & Execute manufacturing processes at General Assembly; designing Automation, equipment/tooling, Integration of equipment, install into the plant, and manage to steady state. Requirements would include effective utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities necessary for a flawless execution. Work is performed in a centralized manufacturing engineering facility as well as assembly plant with an elevated level of independent judgment.
