Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering team in Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan and launch new vehicle programs at assembly plants. You’ll join a cross-functional team and work on tooling, processes, and facilities.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in product launches, automated testing, and optical measurement; strong Excel/PowerPoint; able to meet deadlines; hybrid onsite four+ days a week; salary range 74,300–124,500 USD.

In this position... Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to plan for and implement the launch of new vehicle programs at assembly plants.

You’ll have…

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Automotive Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Experience with tooling, manufacturing processes, and facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting new product launches.
  • 2+ years of experience with automated testing systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with optical measurement and calibration systems.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
