Job summary

Trane Technologies in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing processes, improve quality and efficiency, and coordinate cross-functional improvements.

You will develop cost-effective processes, layouts, and tooling, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and act as voice of the customer for new designs while collaborating with EHS on safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PFMEA experience preferred.
  • Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
  • Effective communication at multiple levels and relationship-building.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to expand technical skills.
  • Results-driven with customer focus; 4-year degree preferred but practical experience considered.
  • Programming or related experience is beneficial, particularly C/C++, SQL, API, GUI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations and corrective actions.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, layouts, and controls to optimize efficiency, costs, and quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including maps, setups, quality controls, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions and standardized work to ensure quality at the source.
  • Serve as voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with EHS to ensure equipment meets safety regulations.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer in Pueblo, CO. In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

What you will do:
  • Provide timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems, including investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Create cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve manufacturing operations.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Serve as a voice of the customer for input for new design development.
  • Partner with on-site EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
  • Lead hands-on factory project implementation, maintain support and upgrade as needed, all Panel, Frame, HiPot and End-of-line electrical testers.
What you will bring:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PFMEA experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
  • Effective communication at multiple levels coupled with ability to build relationships.
  • Growth mindset - desire to expand technical skillset.
  • Results-driven to maintain accountability and customer-focus.
  • Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.
  • Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
  • Emphasis on computer programming or related experience is beneficial, particularly in C, C++.
  • Experience working in SQL environments.
  • Experience creating and executing API, GUI, etc.
