Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Production Manager (Electrical Superintendent) for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. Responsibilities
  • Train, manage and evaluate production team members
  • Ability to assist Project Manager in preparing & updating production schedules
  • Create and maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety, and accident reports
  • Coordinate and monitor the installation progress
  • Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work / executed purchase order agreement
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance with quality assurance and quality control programs
  • Coordinate work with Project Manager, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a product
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
  • Review submittals, budgets, schedules, and all other aspects necessary for a successful product order / program
  • Maintain and foster contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers
  • Serve as an interface between internal clients, including the IM Engineering, Operations, Safety and Safety teams, to facilitate interdepartmental relations and program goals
  • Ensure the component layouts and bill of material takeoffs comply with constructability and operability needs
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding various electrical installation activities
  • Participate in engineering, design, and production review processes as requested by Project Manager
  • Interpret plans, specification, drawings, and documents related to the engineering and construction of program / product order
  • Reports to Project Manager
Qualifications
  • Must be a Safety True Believer
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical or integrated construction industry, with a concentration in large commercial construction projects / programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is preferred; with previous work as Licensed Electrician / Supervisor a plus
  • Ability to prepare, manage and accurately update production schedules (MS Project)
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of the estimating process
  • Exposure to ACCUBID and/or ConEst a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required, including excel at advanced level and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Willing to travel to develop vendor relationship & conduct incremental factory inspections as required
