Job description

Position Summary

Manufacturing Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing Support Team at Collins Aerospace Cedar Rapids facility.

• Second‑shift (2 PM – 10 PM, flexible) support for Displays and Flight Systems IPT manufacturing test and production processes.

• Evaluate and resolve everyday manufacturing issues related to design, process, and supplier challenges.

• Familiarity with LEAN principles and processes is required.

Location: US-IA-CEDAR RAPIDS-108 400 Collins Rd NE BLDG 108

Relocation: May be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do
  • Perform root‑cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.
  • Monitor equipment uptime and perform troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Provide in‑depth technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.
  • Apply standard engineering and manufacturing principles and processes extensively.
  • Develop solutions to difficult technical problems of broad scope with little guidance from project managers.
  • Implement and maintain test methods and processes for sub‑assembly, module, and top‑level product for new or difficult product lines.
  • Develop complete knowledge of test systems and hardware.
  • Provide technical interpretation of drawings and specifications for complex products.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Degree in a STEM field and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (obtained through on‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects).
  • Manufacturing, troubleshooting, or test experience required.
Qualifications We Prefer

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: 57,200 USD – 108,800 USD (good faith estimate).
