Industrial Engineer II

Industrial Engineer II plays a key role in driving operational performance across the organization. This position partners closely with senior leadership, program management, technical experts, and functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance cost, schedule, and efficiency. The Industrial Engineer II will contribute to studies focused on cost control, cost reduction, lead-time reduction, and production system enhancements. This role also provides direct support on the shop floor, including capacity planning, variation analysis, productivity improvement, and manufacturing cell design.

This position is onsite in Des Moines, Iowa.

Qualifications You must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in Manufacturing operations environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline
  • Industrial Engineering experience
  • Experience using continuous improvement tools such as Lean, CORE, Six Sigma
  • Object‑oriented programming experience (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Python, R)
  • SAP experience
  • Strong influencing, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
