Job summary

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives at a manufacturing facility in the Phoenix area.

The role focuses on developing and implementing programs to drive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and align with corporate guidelines. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential in this industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years’ EHS experience in industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, influencing and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communications skills with internal and external personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to generate and drive performance and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain safety policies, manuals and procedures to ensure safety in the facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state regulations and corporate guidelines.
• Develop training programs to satisfy legal requirements and reinforce safety.
• Provide safety orientation for new employees and visiting contractors.
• Manage emergency action plans and safety audits across the plant.
• Lead Safety Committee meetings and coach on safe practices.
• Coordinate PPE inventories and safety equipment maintenance.
• Communicate regulatory and permit requirements to the site.
