Job summary

DMG MORI Manufacturing USA in Davis, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to digitize workflows and drive productivity on the shop floor. You will build digital work instructions, apps, and dashboards while supporting CNC production and assembly.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience in manufacturing, a STEM degree, and familiarity with Tulip or Power Platform. Mondays–Fridays, on-site in Davis with 0–5% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3+ years in manufacturing, production technology, mechanical engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Tulip, low-code apps (PowerApps/Power Automate) or data analysis in Excel/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and update production processes and digital work instructions.
• Develop low-code apps and automated workflows to streamline production operations.
• Create, maintain data dashboards and production databases for real-time visibility.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enable new projects and scale digital solutions.
• Document standard work and train operators on new tools and processes.
