Job summary

Stoke Space in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Development Engineer to own the development and implementation of the quality thesis in our cutting-edge Nova launch vehicle factory. This role includes redefining AS9100 implementation and hardware reliability metrics.

You will develop capabilities in the factory to improve lead time and reliability, quantify risk at the intersection of manufacturing and vehicle performance, and collaborate with the MES team to implement practical work

Qualifications

• AS9100 experience preferred
• Mechanical design experience (machined parts, metal additive parts, weldments, fasteners, complex assemblies)
• Risk analysis / safety-critical systems experience
• Strong cross-functional communication and leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the quality thesis development and AS9100 implementation in the factory
• Develop capabilities to reduce lead time and improve reliability of the launch vehicle product
• Quantify risk at the intersection of manufacturing processes and vehicle performance
• Collaborate with MES software team to implement work execution tools
• Lead and drive reliability improvements for hardware
