Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Materials & Process Engineer to join our team developing Nova, a fully reusable rocket. You will lead material strategy, testing, and qualification efforts to ensure reliability and producibility across engines and structures.

You will collaborate with design, analysis, and manufacturing, build our material property database, and guide supplier qualification while maintaining flight-ready standards for high-reliability hardware.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
  • 3+ years of materials engineering experience.
  • Experience with metals, coatings, welding, heat treatment.
  • Proven flight-ready material decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead material characterization programs and tests.
  • Develop specifications and testing protocols.
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with design, analysis, and manufacturing teams.
  • Build and maintain material property database.
