Job summary

Path Robotics in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer Intern to translate customer CAD models into Path’s system formats and work with engineering and software teams to troubleshoot integration issues. You’ll modify CAD files, develop fixturing concepts, and prototype part setups to enable automated welding, aiming to improve manufacturability and system performance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degrees, have CAD experience

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Interface with customers to translate CAD models into Path’s system formats.
Modify or clean up CAD files to align with autonomous weld planning.
Collaborate with engineering and software teams to troubleshoot model-related issues.
Develop and prototype fixturing concepts or part setups for automated welding.
Identify and implement design solutions to improve manufacturability and system performance.
Document processes and lessons learned for knowledge sharing.
