Job summary

Pella Corporation is seeking a Department Manager to coordinate manufacturing activities in assigned departments, ensuring high-quality parts and on-time delivery for all Pella Family brands. The role demands leadership, coaching, resource allocation, and accountability for team performance.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, performance management, safety, quality audits, and continuous improvement efforts to drive cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two to three years related experience leading or managing teams.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret forecasting reports.
• Strong communication and business correspondence skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain staffing plans aligned with production forecasts to ensure on-time delivery.
• Adjust schedules and staffing to meet production demands.
• Monitor performance and implement action plans for underperforming team members.
• Enforce safety policies and drive ergonomic improvements and job rotation.
• Lead daily problem-solving and report updates during PAC walks.
• Assist HR with investigations and progressive discipline per guidelines.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives focusing on safety, cost, and quality.
