Job summary

Pella Corporation is seeking a Department Manager to oversee manufacturing activities for the Pella Family of Brands Windows and Doors. You will lead a team, manage staffing plans, schedules, and performance, while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree or relevant leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement. The position offers competitive pay, a bonus opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or two to three years related experience of leading or managing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead others through prior experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain staffing plans aligned with production forecasts.
• Adjust schedules and staffing to meet production demands.
• Monitor performance and create action plans for underperforming team members.
• Ensure safety by enforcing policies and promoting ergonomic improvements.
• Complete required safety, quality, and continuous improvement trainings.
• Educate team on quality guidelines and investigate issues to identify root causes.
• Improve labor efficiency and delivery by setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Lead daily problem-solving efforts and present updates during PAC walks.
• Assist HR with investigations and progressive discipline as needed.
• Onboard and train employees, providing language support for non-English speakers.
• Deliver timely performance reviews and development plans.
