Job summary

Annapurna Labs seeks a Lab Leader in Austin to build and run a dedicated preparedness lab that analyzes Trainium system performance in datacenter conditions. Qualifications

• Experience carrying design concepts through development to deployment or mass production.
• Experience communicating requirements and designs to diverse teams and leadership.
• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in Manufacturing/Test/Quality/Reliability or Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering.
• 7+ years working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with AI/ML acceleration systems and high-performance servers.
• Proven track record delivering hardware meeting cost and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Own operational production performance from manufacturing to datacenter deployment and fleet ops.
• Design and build a preparedness lab replicating datacenter conditions.
• Define and drive assembly/repair recipes before high-volume manufacturing.
• Ensure all test flows are regressed in the lab prior to deployment.
• Influence hardware design strategy (DFM/DFR/DFT) from field data.
• Establish data-driven analytics linking test data to datacenter performance using ML.
• Build and mentor a cross-functional team across manufacturing, test, quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with AWS datacenter ops to translate field learnings into process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce failures and lifecycle degradation.
• Develop or adapt manufacturing processes at ODM/CM, define fixtures and test methods.
