A Day in the Life:

Daily Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Restrooms: Thoroughly clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors. Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Lunchroom/Common Areas: Wipe down tables, chairs, and countertops. Clean microwaves, refrigerators, and other appliances. Ensure that the area is tidy and inviting.
• Office Spaces: Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, and mop hard floors. Empty trash and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed. Sweep and mop underneath cubicles and in offices.
• Heavy Industrial Cleaning in our Production Areas: Sweep, mop, and clean the production shop floor, ensuring that it is free from debris and spills. Maintain cleanliness in designated workspaces and storage areas.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines.

Daily Waste Management:

• Collect trash and recycling from various areas within the building. Transport and dispose of waste in designated containers or disposal areas.

Light Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging sinks, and addressing minor repairs.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.

Miscellaneous Duties:

• Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.
• Provide support for company engagement events or meetings, including setup and teardown.
• Supply Ordering – Ensure timely communication with manager to order supplies as needed and store accordingly once it arrives

Required Skills:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 1 or more years of experience in a custodial role, within a manufacturing environment is preferred

Work Environment

This position operates in an office environment with equal time in the plant. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of conditions within the plant. The noise level is usually moderate. Will be exposed to manufacturing conditions including heat in the summer months and cold in the winter months.
