Job summary

Revelyst, based in Irvine, CA, seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to lead the cost accounting team and provide accurate product cost information across its brands. You will oversee standard costing, allocate materials and labor, and drive GAAP-compliant inventory costing and reporting.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing and FP&A to develop standard costs, support budgets and forecasts, and continuously improve cost systems across multiple ERP platforms while mentoring a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting processes and US GAAP.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 5+ years in cost accounting and 5+ years leading a team.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Netsuite.
• On-site in Irvine, CA four days per week.
• Certified Public Accountant license or Certified Management Accountant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cost accounting process for all group companies to ensure accurate inventory costing.
• Maintain accurate standard costing models, including allocations of raw materials, labor, overhead and other costs.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing performance and variances.
• Provide insights into product cost trends and impact on operating results.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and FP&A on standard costs and budgeting.
• Support annual budgets and forecasts.
• Improve cost accounting systems across multiple ERP platforms.
• Analyze inventory quantities and costs vs usage and sales prices.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and motivate a cost accounting team.
• Collaborate to optimize cost efficiencies.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits.
