Job summary

CFS is seeking a Cost Analyst for an on-site role in Millersburg, OH. You will partner with plant leadership to influence operational decisions and gain exposure to manufacturing finance, cost accounting, forecasting, inventory management, and process improvements.

The position involves cross-functional work with operations, production, and leadership teams, performing costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and month-end close support while developing financial models and driving cost reduction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; ability to build financial models and performance analyses.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Plex, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing metrics including labor efficiency, material costs, scrap, inventory, overhead, throughput, freight, and cost per unit.
• Perform standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, product costing, and ROI/business case evaluations.
• Investigate operational and financial trends to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, capital analysis, reporting, dashboards, and performance modeling.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by quantifying savings opportunities and validating financial results.
