Job summary

The Recruiting Pros are seeking a Cost Analyst for a growing manufacturer in Rock Hill, SC. You will analyze production data, prepare monthly financial statements including month-end close, forecast and budget, and create ad-hoc variance reports.

Requirements include a BS in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, and strong communication skills. CPA or MBA is a plus. This is a permanent, full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree with emphasis on Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Cost Analyst in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, analytics and forecasts related to manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze monthly operating results including sales, gross margins and inventory for management’s decision making.
  • Support Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting departments.
  • Develop KPI scorecards and work with cross-functional teams to improve results.
  • Create business plans for capital requests with analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Evaluate and analyze standard costs including material costs, labor, overhead and burden rates.
  • Support multiple manufacturing sites in South Carolina and Georgia.
