A growing manufacturing company in Covington is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager. This mid-senior level role involves overseeing plant-level financial operations, maintaining accurate reporting and cost analysis, and partnering with leadership to enhance performance and efficiency. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting, along with a bachelor's degree and proficiency in SAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the Covington manufacturing facility.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and validate standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; analyze cost variances and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with plant and corporate leadership to evaluate production efficiency, develop cost metrics, and support decision-making.
• Oversee inventory accounting and controls, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and cost-of-goods reporting.
