Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a Cost Accountant to join the plant finance team, driving profitability improvements through cost analysis and data-driven decision support. The role supports inventory management, BOM and routing updates, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, Engineering and Procurement.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing cost flow knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems to enable accurate cost tracking and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing environment experience required; engineered-to-order (ETO) preferred.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, procurement, and supply chain teams.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, labor reporting, standard costing, and overhead allocations.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage Std Cost updates, including BOM & Routing data maintenance for accurate cost tracking.
• Support inventory management analysis with insights and recommendations.
• Detailed inventory reporting including obsolescence, cycle count accuracy & completeness.
• Conduct financial analysis on large projects, including variance and profitability analysis.
• Maintain and improve financial data and databases for timely information.
• Support procurement with analytical reporting for cost-effective purchasing and supply chain efficiency.
• Analyze and improve productivity metrics across supply sites.
• Provide actionable insights by interpreting complex financial data.
• Ensure compliance with policies and support audits; perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
