Job summary

CFS is seeking a Cost Accountant in Goshen, Indiana to support manufacturing cost control and margin analysis. This on-site role collaborates with operations and leadership to improve costing methods, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.

You will own standard costs, perform variance analysis, and assist in budgeting and forecasting to drive cost efficiency and informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • 3–6 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong costing, variance analysis and inventory accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite/Epicor/Oracle or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and analytical ability.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to communicate insights to non-financial teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and maintain standard costs, variances, and inventory valuations.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports related to labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Support month-end close with inventory and cost-related journal entries.
  • Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
  • Ensure accurate BOMs, routings, and cost structures within the ERP system.
  • Support internal and external audits related to inventory and costing.
