Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Denton, TX is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze manufacturing costs, maintain standard cost models, and partner with operations to optimize cost structures. Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will support monthly closes, margin analysis, budgeting, and inventory valuation while ensuring internal controls.

Candidates should have a degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years in cost accounting, with ERP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
Strong ERP and advanced Excel proficiency.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
Prepare and maintain standard cost models and cost roll-ups.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to cost accounting.
Conduct margin analysis and provide insights to support pricing and profitability strategies.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to cost and inventory.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
