Job summary

Conn Selmer, Inc. seeks a Cost Accountant to provide cost accounting and financial support for all manufacturing and distribution facilities. You will handle cost maintenance, cycle counts, production order variance reviews and month-end journal entries.

Assist with other monthly, quarterly and annual accounting tasks. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least two years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong Excel and ERP skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Two years cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Month End Journal Entries and Accruals for Manufacturing/Distribution Facilities
  • Periodic Metrics and KPIs related to plant performance
  • Cost rolls for new and existing products
  • Accuracy of all Costs – Raw, WIP and FG
  • Assist with BOM and Routing updates for manufactured and imported product
  • Assist with Annual Budget and Period Forecasts
  • Cycle Count Variance Root Cause and Warehouse audits
  • Physical Inventory Process and Analysis
  • Perpetual to GL reconciliations each quarter
  • Material, Labor and Overhead Variance Analysis
  • Communicate with coworkers and stakeholders professionally
  • Conform to safety rules and use PPE as required
  • Production order variance reviews in Dynamics
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
