Job summary

AIDA-America Corporation is seeking a Cost Accountant to ensure accurate estimating and costing of projects and special orders. The role supports inventory movement valuation, prepares monthly closings, and analyzes project margins for management review.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory databases, applying AE GARM rules for obsolescence, and collaborating across Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum 5 years in general and manufacturing accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and international accounting concepts helpful.
• Experience with MRP and integrated business systems required.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing inventory database for valuation and reporting.
• Close monthly project and service activity for income statement presentation.
• Value projects for balance sheet presentation and inventory cutoffs.
• Monitor and report inventory movements, obsolescence, and reserves.
• Analyze project margins and provide variance reporting to management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Control and Purchasing for data needs.
• Prepare backlog forecasts and communicate forecast-to-actual variances.
