Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Accountant to support cost accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger workflows. This role ensures month, quarter, year-end closings, reconciliations, and audits are accurate, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years in GL or public accounting, and experience with Oracle; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of general ledger accounting or public accounting audit experience.
• Oracle experience preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and report on capital expenditures.
• Assist in the analysis and validation of our financial results.
• Support AR and AP accounting functions.
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues when they arise.
• Assist in the maintenance of the Company’s standard costing system as needed.
• Collaborate/Engage with other cross-functional teams.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations ensuring accuracy in reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Performs other duties and prepare various ad hoc reports as assigned or needed.
