Job summary

Blueworx Staffing is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial operations of a manufacturing organization. This role maintains accurate financial records, processes customer invoices, handles vendor payments, and participates in budgeting and cost analysis.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with account reconciliation, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and 10-key data entry.
• Experience with MRP/ERP and accounting software.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices promptly and accurately.
• Process vendor invoices and payments according to established terms.
• Maintain documentation and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Assist with developing, monitoring, and maintaining company and departmental budgets.
• Analyze budget variances and provide supporting information to management.
• Perform job costing, production cost analysis, and other financial analyses.
• Prepare financial reports and information to support business decisions.
• Work with the company's CPA to provide information needed for tax reporting and compliance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, payroll, employee, and proprietary company information.
• Communicate professionally with management, employees, customers, vendors, financial institutions, and accounting professionals.
