Blue Box Talent is assisting a global manufacturer in Archbold, Ohio to recruit a Cost & Finance Accountant. This hands-on finance role partners with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Sales to drive cost visibility and profitability on the production floor.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills, and proficiency in Excel, ERP systems and Power BI. On-site work in Archbold is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory/WIP, COGS, PPV, variances, overhead.
• Experience with heavy equipment/industrial machinery manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze standard costs, actual costs and variances.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, PPV and production variances.
• Review product costs, BOM, routings and manufacturing assumptions.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory.
• Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliations and reserve analysis.
• Partner with Manufacturing to identify cost drivers and improvements.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and analyses.
• Review COGS and manufacturing accounts; explain variances.
• Develop financial reporting using Excel, ERP and Power BI.
