Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Cost Accountant to develop and maintain standard costs, analyze manufacturing costs, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability. Reporting directly to the Plant Controller, the role is a critical partner to plant operations and the finance team for financial and management reporting.

The position requires strong analytical skills, collaboration across departments, and proficiency with Excel and SAP in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for annual revaluation and daily setup of new materials.
• Align direct material pricing, labor hours, setup times, and inputs for accurate inventory valuation.
• Compile labor and manufacturing spend reports and present findings to leads.
• Analyze production cost variances and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and post all accounting journal entries for monthly close.
• Support inventory cycle counts and site balance sheet reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for accurate, reliable information.
