Help connect finance to the manufacturing floor. Drylock is looking for a Manufacturing Cost Accountant who enjoys translating production data into practical business insight. This is a hands‑on finance role that partners directly with Production, Supply Chain, and plant leadership to understand cost drivers, improve reporting, and support better operational decisions.

Why this role matters: You will play an important role in helping the business understand manufacturing performance, standard costs, inventory valuation, capital spending, and financial controls across Drylock’s manufacturing operations.

Travel: This position supports both Drylock manufacturing facilities and requires periodic travel between Eau Claire, WI and Reidsville, NC.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of finance and operations—analyzing manufacturing performance, identifying variance drivers, maintaining accurate costing and inventory data, and helping teams turn financial information into action. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, comfortable in a manufacturing environment, and motivated by continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyze actual manufacturing results against standard costs and budgets, identifying cost drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Partner with Production and Supply Chain teams to review performance, understand root causes, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Prepare monthly manufacturing reporting and support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain finished goods standard costing, inventory valuation, obsolete inventory reserves, and related financial controls.
  • Support capital expenditure reporting, fixed asset maintenance, depreciation, IFRS16 lease activity, and annual budgeting.
  • Document and perform internal controls related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and fixed assets while supporting internal and external audits.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or plant finance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, standard costing, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office, and data analysis skills.
How You’ll Succeed
  • Communicate clearly with both finance and operational teams.
  • Use data to explain the “why” behind manufacturing cost performance.
  • Stay organized while balancing close activities, reporting deadlines, operational follow-up, and audit support.
  • Adapt to changing business priorities with a practical, problem‑solving mindset.
  • Bring a self‑motivated, continuous improvement approach that supports Drylock’s plant culture and team values.
