Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Coordinator to support Haven-1 manufacturing. This full-time, non-exempt role coordinates material flow, cross-functional collaboration, and scheduling, reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations.

Shift options include first and second shifts; walks in a dynamic aerospace environment in a growing company. You will work with Integration and Avionics Manufacturing groups, driving on-time delivery, part movement, and data

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • 2+ years of Smartsheet experience.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee movement of components to ensure timely progression across Vast locations.
  • Coordinate transfer across purchasing, receiving, inventory, and work centers.
  • Coordinate outside processing and liaise with purchasing for timely delivery.
  • Support logistics by optimizing workflow staging.
  • Maintain accuracy of system data with Supply Chain, Eng, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Generate/maintain reports for milestones and limitations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with schedulers and managers to fulfill action requirements.
  • Communicate issues across platforms to stakeholders and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers on release of runs.
  • Follow schedules through planning and shortage management.

Vast is looking for aManufacturing Coordinatorreporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations,to support Haven‑1 Manufacturing. This role is responsible for coordinating, ensuring material delivery meets with schedule timelines. You’ll be working cross‑functionally with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to maintain production flow and resolve any blockers proactively.

This will be a full‑time,non‑exemptposition located in ourLong Beachlocation.

Client Groups:

  • Integration
  • Avionics Manufacturing

Shift hours:

  • First Shift: 5am - 2:30pm
  • Second Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, monitor, and facilitate the movement of components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely progression through our Vast locations.
  • Coordinate the physical transfer of components across various stages including purchasing, receiving inspection, inventory, and relevant work centers.
  • Coordinate outside processing of components and liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support logistics operations by optimizing workflow staging as necessary.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of system data in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to align with demands and schedules.
  • Generate and maintain reports highlighting requirements, milestones, and limitations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with schedulers, and managers to fulfill action requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and elevate issues promptly across various platforms and to specific stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues such as part shortages, purchase order delays, and discrepancies in BOM to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with engineers and the planning team on the release of runs.
  • Follow schedules through effective planning and shortage management coordination.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • 2+ years of Smartsheet.
  • Highly detail oriented and self starter.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted.

Pay Range:

  • Manufacturing Coordinator I: $19.00 - $25.00
  • Manufacturing Coordinator II: $22.00 - $30.00
  • Senior Manufacturing Coordinator: $28.00 - $38.00

Pay Range: California

$19 - $38 USD
