Manufacturing Coordinator - C shift (7pm-7am)
BASIC POSITION DUTIES: This position will support the molding and assembly manufacturing department by providing supervision to leaders, setups, and operators. Oversees all daily activities and reporting. Responds to safety, quality, and productivity issues and any abnormal situations. Works with all departments as needed, such as QA, production control, maintenance, engineering, etc.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Manage personnel records, including but not limited to:
- Absence, attendance calendars, and records
- Corrective action activity and review
- Conduct work compliance audits, follow up on, and manage any non-compliance issues
- Handle new/revised work instructions or any required documentation acknowledgements
- Initiate associate status changes and SARS submissions
- Manage production records, including but not limited to:
- Manufacturing setup and check sheets
- 3S/3D/5S activities
- Backtracks and abnormals
- CTR documentation
- Rainbow activities
- Ensure accurate data entry for items such as:
- Assembly daily reports
- TPS redlight reports
- Assembly setup reports
- Scrap reports
- Other relevant reports
- Manage and control production floor operations, including:
- Conduct shift meetings for proper communication of production activities and plans
- Understand work centers, production plans, and shop orders
- Utilize all available resources to carry out the production plan
- Monitor warehouse, JIT, and kanban operations to ensure product flow
- Support the disposition of products in OZ areas
- Ensure daily shift-to-shift communication
- Make quick, accurate decisions and provide direction to associates to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
- Monitor production floor, scrap area, pre-dryer, and offline regrind areas for cleanliness and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, GED, or technical certificate with 1-3 years of experience in hourly plant operations.
- Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
- Computer skills are preferred, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Willingness to complete training in EMS Response.
- Must maintain a valid forklift license.
