Job description

Manufacturing Coordinator

We are a growing AS9100 certified fabrication shop producing components for defense, aerospace, medical, electronics, photonics, and advanced manufacturing industries. This full‑time position supports manufacturing operations, materials management, purchasing coordination, and basic manufacturing/industrial engineering tasks. This role provides hands‑on experience in manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Communicate with vendors for pricing, ordering, and delivery coordination
  • Manage material inventory in Mietrak ERP system
  • Process purchase orders and track material deliveries to ensure material is in stock
  • Maintain material traceability documentation and certifications
  • Assist with material receiving and quality verification
  • Support monthly inventory reconciliation processes
Manufacturing Engineering Support (40%)
  • Create and issue work orders to the shop floor to ensure adequate production time
  • Update routers for accurate processes, set up & run times and other information
  • Coordinate with vendors for outside processes
  • Manage work order, vendor and material close‑out process to ensure full traceability
  • Assist the Production Manager and the Shop Manager with production scheduling
Process and Technology Initiatives (20%)
  • Evaluate and implement automation and manufacturing technologies that may help production and administration
  • Support process improvement and SOP development for business growth
  • Support document management system and record keeping
Required Qualifications
  • A degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business with a technical focus, or relevant work experience in production management or project management
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to learn new software (Manufacturing SQL database program)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and technical proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail for quality control requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to take direction and work independently to complete a project with autonomy
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
  • Background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality management systems is a plus
  • AS9100 aerospace quality system training
