Creative Financial Staffing, LLC has partnered with an established industrial manufacturer in Spring, TX to recruit a hands-on Controller. This leadership role oversees financial operations, strengthens internal controls, and provides insight to drive profitability and growth.

The ideal candidate brings manufacturing accounting expertise, including inventory, WIP, standard costing and project-based analysis. You will lead month-end closes, budgeting, forecasting, and audits in a SOX environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting with inventory, WIP, cost accounting and production variances.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a project-based environment.
• SOX/compliance and internal control experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end closes, financial statements, GL, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Manage manufacturing accounting activities: inventory valuation, WIP, standard costing, labor/overhead allocation, production variances.
• Analyze job costing, project margins, material usage, and manufacturing expenses to improve profitability.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial performance metrics with operations.
• Maintain internal controls over inventory, purchasing, production costs, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
• Support audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting in line with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and project management to improve cost controls and working capital.
