Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Financial Controller in Oak Ridge, TN, on-site, to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all divisions. You will manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls within the Epicor ERP environment, while leading a team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred).
• GAAP knowledge and manufacturing accounting principles.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing and operational accounting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all divisions, ensuring GL accuracy and timely delivery of financial statements.
• Assist in preparing and managing budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Maintain chart of accounts, reconciliation cadence, and journal entry approvals within Epicor.
• Monitor production costs, inventory valuation, and variances; implement profitability improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs.
• Reconcile balance sheets monthly, post journal entries daily as required.
• Establish and enforce robust internal controls for financial integrity.
• Process CapEx requests and track asset capitalization.
• Lead annual physical inventory and monthly cycle counts with operations teams.
• Cost roll and inventory revaluation; work with purchasing and operations to improve cost accuracy.
• Liaise for annual US/Canada tax review and preparation.
• Maintain corporate compliance calendar and ensure good standing.
