Job Description:

Manufacturing Control Operator

Objective

The primary focus of the Manufacturing Control Operator role is to make trackable monitor starts per the daily drop schedule, support reticle activities, as well as, support production starts on day shifts.

Essential Functions

The Manufacturing Control Operator essential functions include the following:

  • Execute monitor starts against daily starts drop schedule.
  • Inventory management:
    • Follow physical inventory procedures.
    • Support weekly audits.
    • Escalate any inventory discrepancies quickly.
  • Ability to address tool issues using EMMA.
  • Subject Matter Expert related to reticle management and duties:
    • Managing new reticles: Realization of priority arrivals, reticle receipts, reticle boxes and pods stocking level management.
    • Managing reticle pull: Requests for pulling circuits based on ENG requests, some are more urgent than others.
    • Reticle movement: Moving reticles around in the fab based on ENG request by taking reticles out of cabinets for them to be moved to new locations, or moving reticles to better slots based on operations use.
    • Reticle problem solving: Sending out reticles for repair through our specific process, but sometimes involves being a point person for operators or supervisors about why a certain reticle isn't available or other issues they need help with.
  • Secondary role flexibility:
    • Vacation coverage for other manufacturing control team roles.
    • Quickly and professionally escalates issues.
    • Recognizes and responds to team resourcing needs.
    • Actively drives continuous improvement of the tools, processes and documentation needed to perform duties.

  • Good time management.
  • Accountable for providing timely, accurate and relevant information with assignments while covering any of the roles on the team.
  • Escalates to appropriate resources regarding issues related to monitor starts, and reticles.
  • Assists as needed with the manufacturing control team regarding reticles support.
  • Conducts verbal and written pass down with fellow peers.
  • Responsible for company Wi-Fi phone.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable of Broadcom–FAB operation manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Self-directed / Self Motivated under direction of supervisor.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills with history of utilizing these skills to successfully interact with cross functional departments, such as Operations, Equipment Maintenance, Process Techs Line Techs, and Unit Process Engineers.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills using good judgment.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems used in the manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate skills with Excel and Word.
  • Has the ability to learn quickly.
  • Requires one year, but prefer 2 years FAB experience.
  • Candidates must meet site requirements for job transfer.

  • Position is on A shift.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $20.50 - $25.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
