Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, OH is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects that improve safety, reliability, and plant performance. You will coordinate design, procurement, construction, and startup across engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

With 5+ years in project leadership within chemical or process industries, you will ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets and schedules, and oversee handover to operations while driving continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years leading capital projects in manufacturing or process environments.
• Experience from concept through handover including design, construction, and startup.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and industry codes.
• Experience managing scope, budgets, schedules, and stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept through startup and handover.
• Manage engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Incorporate PSM, safety, environmental, and security requirements into project work.
• Drive continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and reliability in projects.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering designs and construction packages.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and contractors.
