Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Buyer / Supply Chain Procurement on a 12+ month contract basis in Lynn, MA. The role focuses on ensuring material availability, supplier coordination, RFQ execution, and cost-effective procurement for manufacturing operations.

The incumbent will lead supplier negotiations, manage POs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory and supplier performance. Onsite in Lynn, MA with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of purchasing/procurement/materials management experience.
• Hands-on experience managing purchase orders, supplier coordination, RFQs, and material availability.
• Knowledge of MRP, inventory management, shortage resolution, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve procurement issues.
• Experience in semiconductor/electronics/high-tech manufacturing supply chains.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems.

Responsabilités

• Manage purchasing activities and supplier commitments to ensure material availability.
• Manage supplier pull-ins/push-outs to align with MRP demand.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve material shortages, supplier delays, and allocation constraints.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program managers, and supplier teams to implement solutions.
• Prepare and execute RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate purchasing terms for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Lead inventory optimization and reduce excess/zero-demand inventory.
• Manage purchasing projects including cost, schedule, scope, and execution.
• Monitor supplier capacity, delivery, allocation, and responsiveness to mitigate risks.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier selection, disputes, change control, and purchasing exceptions.
• Analyze PPV and material cost opportunities to support cost management.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to improve delivery performance.
• Share purchasing best practices and train colleagues.
