Job summary

ITT Engineered Valves in Lancaster, PA seeks a Buyer to manage day-to-day procurement for materials and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in manufacturing purchasing are preferred.

The role requires strong communication skills, organization, and hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP. The company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or similar field.
• 2+ years purchasing/procurement experience.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Reviews forecast and analyzes MRP/ERP to purchase/allocate items to meet production plans.
• Communicates with vendors on contracts, pricing, delivery, and sourcing.
• Works with vendors to improve performance.
• Prepares purchase orders and informs requisitioners of changes or price differences.
• Maintains vendor records with costs, sources, and lead times on file.
• Assesses inventories and recommends actions for slow-moving or excess stock.
• Backs up other buyers as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
