Job summary

Gillaspie Manufacturing, Inc. in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Buyer - Customer Relations to blend procurement expertise with customer-facing responsibilities. You will source materials, negotiate with suppliers, manage lead times, and act as a central contact for orders and procurement status.

Collaborating with sales, production, quality, and logistics teams, you will ensure timely deliveries, accurate contracts, and responsive support for customers throughout the purchasing process.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Ability to negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers effectively.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Two years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing operations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, lead times, and procurement status.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements for accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, quality, and logistics teams to align procurement with business needs.
