Job summary

Yetter Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Automation Specialist in Macomb, Illinois to lead automation projects and improve processes. You will design, implement and validate automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to cut costs and boost productivity.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of manufacturing automation experience, with strong CAD CREO skills and knowledge of robotics, PLCs, and machine vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering with automation focus.
• Strong knowledge of robotics, PLCs and machine vision.
• Experience leading automation projects end-to-end.
• CAD experience with CREO preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement automation systems to improve processes and productivity.
• Lead cross-functional automation projects from conception to completion, meeting timelines and budgets.
• Conduct process improvement studies to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Create and maintain documentation for automation systems, including schematics and work instructions.
• Collaborate with vendors to source and evaluate new automation technologies.
• Train employees on operation and maintenance of automation systems.
• Troubleshoot automation equipment and improve reliability and safety.
