Job summary

Solventum, operating in Eagan, MN, is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to support production-scale equipment and process development. You will troubleshoot controls, automation, electromechanical, and web-processing systems to minimize downtime and drive reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline and two years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain production-scale manufacturing and process development equipment ensuring safe, reliable operation.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting for controls, automation, electromechanical, and web-processing equipment.
Lead proactive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Design, install, modify, validate, and optimize manufacturing equipment and control systems including PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Partner with Engineering, R&D, Production and cross-functional teams on startups, improvements, technology transfer, and capital projects.
Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies and maintain equipment documentation.
Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
