Job Title: Manufacturing Associate – Weekend Shift
Location: Jacksonville, Florida, 32217
Pay: $18.50/hour
Shift: Friday-Sunday 8am-8pm
Job Description

This role focuses on operating welding and cutting machinery to process metal components to precise specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Associate supports production by handling materials, performing basic assembly tasks, and ensuring machines run safely and efficiently during the weekend shift.

Responsibilities
  • Operate welding machines to join metal components according to production requirements and safety standards.
  • Cut metal to specific lengths using designated cutting equipment while maintaining tight tolerances and accuracy.
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust machinery to ensure consistent product quality and efficient operation.
  • Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading and unloading metal parts and organizing materials for production.
  • Perform basic assembly tasks as needed to support the production line and meet daily output goals.
  • Inspect metal parts and assemblies for defects, correct measurements, and overall quality, and report any issues promptly.
  • Follow established safety procedures when working with metals, machinery, and welding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, machines, and surrounding workspace.
  • Assist with routine machine checks and basic maintenance tasks, reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and support continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience working with metals or machinery in a production setting.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate welding machines safely and effectively.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment and tools.
  • Experience with machine operation, including starting, monitoring, and stopping equipment.
  • Basic material handling skills, including moving, loading, and organizing metal components.
  • Capability to perform basic assembly tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Attention to detail when cutting metal to specific lengths and inspecting finished parts.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety and quality guidelines.
  • Willingness and ability to work a Friday-Sunday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in welding or metal fabrication environments.
  • Experience with material handling equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing equipment or quality issues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
