48forty Solutions, LLC is seeking a Pallet Repair Reman to build and repair wooden pallets from recycled materials and damaged pallets. The role includes working on 2nd shift in Richmond, with production-based opportunities and a base hourly pay plus piece-rate up to 25 per hour.

The position emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, requiring attention to detail, communication with supervisors, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Observance of all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements exist.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual woodworking tools.
• Previous experience in welding, lumbering, construction, carpentry, or roofing is strongly preferred.

• Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely.
• Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• Check loads to make sure they are secure.

Overview

As a Pallet Repair Reman, you’ll get to build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets and/or lumber. You may also repair pallets by taking damaged pallets sent from our customers and return them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. As sustainability is one of our organization’s top goals, this role is vital to our success!

Hourly Pay:

$19.00/hr. +Peiece Rate can make up $25.00/hr. (production-based position)

Shift(s):

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 2:00 PM - 12:15 AM
