48forty Solutions is hiring for a Pallet Repair Reman in Dallas, TX. The role involves building and repairing wooden pallets from recycled materials, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Expect to work Mon-Fri from 6:00am to 1:30pm, earning $17.00 per hour plus piece rate. Training will prepare you to meet production quotas while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual woodworking tools.

Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready condition.
• Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager.
• Examine products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets 48forty’s standards.
• Build the given number of pallets, once training is complete.
• Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete.
• Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely.
• Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• Check loads to make sure they are secure.

Job description

As a Pallet Repair Reman, you’ll get to build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets and/or lumber. You may also repair pallets by taking damaged pallets sent from our customers and return them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. As sustainability is one of our organization’s top goals, this role is vital to our success!

$17.00/hr + Piece Rate

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate.
• Repetitively lift up to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
• The noise level in the work environment depends on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
• Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination
