Job summary

Vanguard EMS, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to work closely with the team coordinator and department manager to ensure processes meet IPC standards and quality expectations.

The role focuses on assembling components, inspecting work, and maintaining a clean, efficient production area. Required candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly.

  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication, both written and oral.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and basic PCB handling (PCBA).
  • Ability to handle small/fragile components and use tools effectively.
  • Ability to interpret visual aids and drawings to verify quality.
  • Professional in-person, phone, email, or written communication.
  • Willingness to overtime to support production.
  • Normal color vision.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Associate

The Manufacturing Associate collaborates directly with the team coordinator and department manager to produce qualify processes that meets or exceeds IPC standards. This position is key to company quality standards.

What you'll do
  • Place electronic components into printed circuit board following detailed instruction
  • Inspect and quality check own work and the work of others
  • Ensure that products meet all customer and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate quality issues to the appropriate team and manager as needed
  • Contribute to a positive team working environment and maintain a clean and organized area
  • Assist in other departments as needed and participate in controlled process improvement projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

  • Effectively manipulate small and/or fragile components and tools
  • Ability to use visual aids, complicated drawings to verify quality products.
  • Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production (daily and weekly)
  • Normal color vision
Education And/or Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with pre wave processing
  • IPC 610 certification
