Job summary

Sheridan is hiring a Manufacturing Associate- Press on the 2nd shift to support our print production.

No print industry experience is required as training will be provided; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, follow instructions, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role includes comprehensive benefits after 30 days and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Remove printed materials from the press and stack on pallets.
• Check products for quality issues like smears or folds.
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
• Count, label, and organize materials for production.
• Bundle and prepare products for next production stage.
• Move materials using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
• Assist press crew with setup and handling printing plates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE requirements.
• Support other projects as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Manufacturing Associate, you’ll help keep our printing operation running smoothly by:

• Removing printed materials from the press and stacking them on pallets
• Checking printed products for quality issues like smears or folding problems
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility
• Counting, labeling, and organizing materials
• Bundling and preparing products for the next stage of production
• Using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials
• Assisting the press crew with job setup, including handling printing plates
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Pitching in on other projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma or GED

• Can safely lift and move materials and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You’ll spend much of your day standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials. You should be comfortable:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 20 pounds
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds
• Stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Perform repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling activities throughout the shift.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with moving equipment and varying noise levels.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection and safety footwear.
