Job summary

HD Supply in Marietta, GA is seeking a production associate to perform tasks within one department, handle materials such as rubber, stretch cord, and packing, and ensure quality through basic measurement skills.

You will read job specifications, cut materials to specified dimensions using a tape measure, assemble components with hand, electronic, and pneumatic tools, and label and pack finished goods for shipment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Fluency in English (read, write, speak) required.

Responsibilities

• Works on processes within assigned department, including insertion of materials, clamping, fitting parts, and use of some hand tools.
• Cuts materials to specific dimensions using a tape measure and reads work order specs for accuracy.
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Performs bench-type processes to complete material assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand, electronic and pneumatic tools as required.
• Notifies supervisor of mechanical, material, or safety issues.
• Attaches labels and tags to products and packages.
• Follows standard work methods, SOPs, and job aides.
• Packs finished goods into correct packages and places on designated pallet.
